White Island Tours

White Island is New Zealand's only ACTIVE marine volacano! The professional crew at White Island Tours will take you on a fully guided walking tour around the inner crater of White Island (hard hats and gas masks provided). Sights include the majestic main crater, hissing sulphur fumaroles and exploring the remains of an old sulphur factory. Depart Whakatane aboard one of our two purpose-built vessels for an 80-minute (each way) sea journey. Complete round trip is 5-6 hours. DEPARTS daily depending on weather, each trip is reconfirmed after 7pm evening prior to departure. Suitable footwear is essential (no sandals). Refreshments and lunch provided.
