Rangitoto Walk

Rangitoto Island is a prominent Auckland landmark and makes a great daytrip from downtown Auckland.  On a walk up Rangitoto, you will not only obtain great views of the Hauraki Gulf, but you will also see fascinating lava flows and caves, and New Zealand's largest pohutakawa forest.
