Hot-air ballooning is a unique adventure. You rise gently above Hamilton and float across the green pastures of the Waikato. On a clear day you can see the distant snow-capped mountains of Tongariro National Park. After about an hour of tranquillity, you float back to Earth, pack the balloon away, and a champagne-style breakfast is served. For best flying conditions, flights take place early in the morning and are weather dependent. Allow up to 4 hours for the whole experience.
