Gannet Beach Adventures

Gannet Beach Adventures has been providing the most popular transport to Cape Kidnappers Gannet Reserve for over 55 years. Travel along the fascinating coastline by a unique method of transport - vintage tractor towing a purpose-built passenger trailer. There will be stops where your guide will narrate information on geology, earthquake fault lines, Maori history and birdlife. At the Department of Conservation rest shelter there is an optional walk to the Plateau Colony; this walk takes approx 25 minutes. For those choosing not to take the walk to the Plateau Colony you won't miss out on seeing the majestic gannets - on our return journey we stop at the Black Reef Colony, the largest colony at Cape Kidnappers.
