Coopers Creek Winery

Come and visit this family-owned winery. Established in 1980, producing its first vintage in 1982, Coopers Creek has built a reputation for producing some of New Zealand's finest wines. The winery is open to public for wine tasting (bookings essential for larger groups) and cellar door sales, 7 days a week. The vineyard and winery are situated 1km beyond Huapai on State Highway 16, approximately 35km from Auckland (20min by car). Visitors are always welcome and customers encouraged to stay and enjoy the picturesque gardens, complete with BBQ facilities (wood supplied), children's playground, full size outdoor chessboard and petanque court. A farmer's market is planned to open in late 2006. Opening hours: 10am-5.30pm Monday-Friday, 10.30am-5.30pm weekends.
