The Papakura District (Papakura) in New Zealand is one of the several recognized districts in the Greater Auckland area. It constitutes the southernmost part of the Auckland Metropolitan area.

Papakura City Information
Originally a country town, it eventually became Papakura City and is now slowly being overtaken by Auckland’s urban sprawl. The district is flanked by the southern reaches of the Manukau Harbour to the west, Manukau City to the north, and farmland to the east and south, with Pukekohe the closest town in that direction. Papakura is considered a part of the South Auckland community.While Pahurehure, Papakura West, and Eastern Heights (Papakura District) are not noted for their beaches, there are beaches nearby at Maraetai, Mission Bay, Tamaki Drive, Orere Point, and Kawakawa Bay on the Hauraki Gulf, and Clarks Beach north of Waiuku on the Manukau Harbour. A 20-30 minute drive southeast of the Papakura District is the Hunua Ranges (in Franklin District). This Auckland Regional attraction features a waterfall and forested walking tracks. Since Papakura has no major river much of Auckland's water (including Papakura District’s) is supplied from reservoirs in the Hunua Ranges.
