The Brackenridge Country Retreat and Spa, set on 14 acres of farmland and only minutes from Martinborough Wine Village, is the complete country indulgence. The luxurious and spacious accommodation includes 8 x 2-bedroom (king or twin), 2 bathroom cottages, 2 x 4-bedroom with 3 bathroom cottages and 8 luxurious studio suites with super king-size beds or two single beds.

Each cottage features under-floor heating and bath, super-comfortable super king (or twin) beds with crisp cotton bed linen, and an open plan living/dining area complete with entertainment centre (SKY TV, DVD, stereo) and an open fireplace. Your fully equipped kitchen is stocked with everything you need to enjoy a real country breakfast – fresh coffee, farm eggs, juice, bread, spreads, cereals, milk and preserves – while outside, you can fire up your very own gas barbecue in your private courtyard.

In each studio you’ll find a spacious bathroom with under-floor heating, entertainment centre and your own private patio. The kitchenettes with microwave oven and portable hotplate are stocked with everything you need to make a hearty country breakfast. Four studios have fireplaces and showers over baths, the other four have showers. One cottage and studio are fully equipped for wheelchair access.

All except one of the cottages have laundry facilities, with shared guest laundry facilities for the remaining cottage and studios plus all accommodation has those handy extras like an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and electric heater.

The Spa offers a complete range of therapeutic and beauty treatments for men and women with three treatment rooms, a lounge with an open fire, plus a 20 metre indoor salt water lap pool, fully equipped gym and alfresco spa pool.

On-site activities can be prearranged and include clay bird shooting, archery and pétanque, with quad motorbikes, horse trekking, a pole-to-pole course, tennis, golf and winery tours all within minutes of Brackenridge.
