Ahipara Information
Ahipara lies on the West coast of the Northland region in the North Island of New Zealand.
Known as the gateway to Ninety Mile Beach, the area is famous for adventure sports including land yachting and dune riding.
It is also an area rich in history with early Maori settlement followed by the gum diggers who worked the ancient kauri forests.
Ninety Mile Beach is a spectacular stretch of unspoiled coastline running almost to the Northern most tip of New Zealand. Fishermen have been known to land kingfish while surfcasting from the beach.
The town of Kaitaia is only 15km to the North East.
